Aston Villa agree deal with West Ham to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka on loan with obligation for permanent transfer

ASTON VILLA have agreed a loan deal to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka from West Ham. Unai Emery’s men have an obligation to buy the former Manchester United star, who was relegated to the Championship with the Hammers last season. West Ham had been open to offers for former Crystal Palace star Wan-Bissaka despite him having a contract until 2031. He is said to be earning around £90,000 a week at the London Stadium. Villa opened talks with West Ham last week, with the East London outfit valuing the player at around £25million. He initially joined the club from United for around £15m in August 2024. It was a tough season all around for Wan-Bissaka, who made 25 appearances in the Premier League during 2025-26 as his side went down. Wan-Bissaka previously came through the ranks at Palace before signing for United in a £50m move in 2019. He made 190 appearances for the Red Devils and won two trophies under Erik ten Hag before joining the Hammers. He has also picked up 16 caps for DR Congo and featured four times at the World Cup this summer. Wan-Bissaka will provide plenty of experience for Villa as they look to compete on multiple fronts after qualifying for the Champions League. The Europa League winners have already signed Johan Manzambi, Joao Gomes, Modou Keba Cisee and Alejandro Garnacho on loan.
