The cow had become trapped among branches and debris carried by the flood, leaving it unable to move.Ignoring the danger around him, the man reaches the animal and repeatedly tries to free it. Battling the strong current, he carefully pushes and pulls the frightened cow away from the tangled branches. After several tense moments, he finally succeeds in releasing it.The relieved animal then begins swimming through the floodwaters before making its way to a patch of elevated land. The video ends on a hopeful note as the cow breaks into a run after reaching dry ground, while the exhausted rescuer watches from the water. The rescue comes as Assam continues to grapple with the aftermath of one of the season's worst monsoon floods. Torrential rain over the past several weeks inundated vast stretches of the state, damaging homes, roads and farmland while forcing thousands of families to seek shelter in relief camps.According to official figures, the floods have claimed 78 lives and affected more than three lakh people across multiple districts.
