A post on Facebook by UK New Foods showed the return of the items to shelves and shoppers have rushed to the comments to share their thoughts on the Puffin’s return. A third reminisced: “The mint ones were my fav!” One enthusiastic user wrote: “The biscuit of legends!” Some shoppers were quick to point out the similarities between the Asda own-brand and another well-known branded biscuit. “Basically it is just a cheap Asda version of a Penguin chocolate biscuit,” wrote one commentor. Most read in Money The iconic bars landed the supermarket giant in High Court back in 1997, when Puffin was accused of being a little too “familiar” to the well-known confectionery item.
