Arsenal star Jurrien Timber’s twin brother sees deadline day Premier League transfer collapse after agent dispute

QUINTEN TIMBER has missed out on a deadline day Crystal Palace transfer after an agent dispute. The 25-year-old Marseille midfielder was set to join his Arsenal star twin brother Jurrien in the Premier League. But it has been reported by The Guardian that a falling out between the agents involved in the deal has seen it collapse. Timber only arrived at Marseille in January after three-and-a-half seasons with Feyenoord. Premier League giants Manchester United expressed an interest in the midfielder in 2023, alongside rivals Manchester City, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur. However, no deal was secured as Timber remained at Feyenoord for another three years before his move to Marseille. He also previously featured for Jong Ajax and his hometown side Utrecht in the Eerste Divisie and the Eredivisie, respectively. Midfielder Timber made 15 appearances for Marseille as they finished fifth in Ligue 1 last season. The brothers continue to share a close relationship despite having faced off against each other for fierce rivals. Porto and Aston Villa are also understood to have considered making a move for Timber before he agreed personal terms with Palace. He is now expected to remain at Marseille until at least the January transfer window. Timber made his first start of the season for the French club in a 2-0 home loss against Monaco on Sunday. Marseille are set to next host Paris FC at the Stade Velodrome on Sunday, September 6. Comment now
