ARSENAL midfielder Christian Norgaard has been granted permission to undergo a medical with Everton. The midfielder has not travelled with the group to Dublin for their game with Real Betis on Wednesday night and is instead set to undergo a medical with Everton. He struggled for action, though, and played just 101 minutes in the Premier League across the course of last season. Norgaard was into the final 12 months of his contract this summer and Arsenal have decided to cash in on him. Despite a lack of action, the midfielder was a prominent voice in the dressing room and was praised for his efforts behind the scenes as the Gunners won the title last season. Mikel Arteta wants to bolster his midfield this summer and Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes is expected to join. Talks over a deal for the Brazilian have rumbled on for weeks, but they are due to conclude this week.
