Arsenal owners buy new sport team for £3BILLION but Gunners fans rage at timing of deal on transfer deadline day

ARSENAL owners Kroenke Sports Entertainment have purchased Major League Baseball franchise the Los Angeles Angels. Founder Kroenke and his son Josh have financed some big deals this summer, including the £75million addition of Bruno Guimaraes and the £55m arrival of Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa. Kroenke, 79, is an American businessman, who has a hand in a number of sporting enterprises. As well as Arsenal and the Angels, his company has stakes in the NFL‘s Los Angeles Rams, NHL outfit the Colorado Avalanche and MLS side Colorado Rapids. But Arsenal fans were seemingly not delighted to see him add another organisation to his list of assets. The Argentine star dreamed of a move to the Catalan side, but his team refused to sanction an agreement with their fierce rivals. But Arsenal were not able to capitalise on the opportunity, and were left with Christos Tzolis as their only major attacking signing of the summer window. Comment now
