It comes after the attacker turned down the chance to move to Turkey amid interest from Galatasaray. He was also absent for the Gunners’ opening Premier League 3-0 victory against Coventry City. The Brazilian has been at Arsenal since arriving from Ituano in 2019 and has gone on to become a key figure under Mikel Arteta. But Martinelli is now entering the final year of his current contract, although Arsenal hold an option to extend his stay for another season.
