Arsenal confirm Christos Tzolis transfer with Greek star arriving as £35million Leandro Trossard replacement

ARSENAL have splashed out £34million to complete the signing of Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis. The Greek star, 24, underwent a medical in London this week and has penned a contract until 2031. Tzolis has rebuilt his career in Belgium and was on fire last season as Brugge were crowned champions. He departs Brugge having weighed in with 43 goals and 45 assists in 108 appearances. Tzolis said: “It’s absolutely amazing to sign for such a big club, the champions of England. “I’m very proud to be part of this team for the next season. “When my agent was saying maybe it was a possibility, I was already excited. Afterwards it was getting more serious and now I’m here. “I had a nice conversation [with Mikel Arteta]. It was around an hour. It was only positive things. “I’m a direct player, I go for goals or assists. That’s my point of view as an attacker, as a winger. “I’m always hungry to score or to give the final pass to my teammates. And I can say I work hard for the team, also in the defensive part.” Tzolis has already been in pre-season training with Club Brugge and played in pre-season friendlies. It means he can hit the ground running at his new club ahead of their first friendly next week in Girona.
