Arsenal chief vows to create Premier League title ‘dynasty’ in brutal ‘serial champions’ warning to rivals

ARSENAL are on a mission to create a “dynasty” which will see the Premier League champions take over English football. Now chief executive Richard Garlick is determined to build on last season’s success ahead of a bright future. Garlick said: “I dream of us being serial champions, of us repeating what we did last year and going one better, maybe, in the Champions League. “This is a period of dominance. You could call it the start of a dynasty. We are aiming to dominate football on every level for the next few years.” Garlick is a hugely respected figure in football having arrived from the Premier League in 2021 before being appointed chief executive last year. Get back to winning a major trophy. “When I arrived at the club, the first talk was to get us back into Europe. “We did that and we pushed on and accelerated that success to the point we were challenging for titles – but quicker than we expected. “Now, we are title winners. We have got to that stage and want to win more. We are absolutely saying we are not done here. It is the start, not the end. “We are at the start of something big. We want to push on and just win more and more.” Garlick’s positive comments contrast with supporters who fear that Mikel Arteta’s men have rested on their laurels during the close season. Some of the fanbase are livid at failing to land a left winger like Real Madrid’s Vini Jr or central striker such as Atletico Madrid’s Alvarez following a number of departures. The club’s Italian sporting director Andrea Berta – a slightly fearsome character – was hailed as a genius a few weeks ago but has now been accused of dithering. And the Gunners boss will be asked about the transfer strategy, particularly the club’s firepower. Arsenal do look light in the centre with Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz their only real options without putting square pegs into round holes. It would seem a strong bet that Arsenal have identified another No 9 but he will not be available until either January or next summer. Asked about his biggest challenge, Garlick added: “It is making sure everybody understands that this is the start of the next chapter – not the end of something. “We are not going to sit here and pat ourselves on the back and say, ‘We’ve cracked this, let’s put our feet up’.” Comment now
