Arrest follows death of man in West Lothian

A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a man in West Lothian.Police were called to a report of an injured man in a property on Harestanes Road, Armadale, at around 11.50am on Saturday.The 35-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.Officers said the death is being treated as suspicious and a post-mortem examination is due to take place.Police said a 57-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death.Officers said investigations are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact them.Police previously said they were investigating whether a firearm was used during the incident.Detective Superintendent Michelle Findlay, of the Major Investigations Team, said: “My thoughts remain with the family and friends of the man who died.“Specialist officers are supporting them as we continue to try to get answers about what happened.“We’ve been carrying out extensive inquiries, including door-to-door in the area, CCTV review and forensic analysis.“I’d like to thank the public for their support so far.
