Ari Emanuel and His Brothers Donate $550,000 to Palestinian Doctor Training Program

Hollywood mogul Ari Emanuel and his brothers Zeke and Rahm have donated $550,000 towards a program to train Palestinian doctors from the West Bank at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center in Israel. eJewishPhilanthropy reported that the Emanuel brothers’ donation would go towards funding the training of pediatric doctors and nurses from An-Najah University Hospital in the West Bank city of Nablus in the hopes of establishing the first dedicated children’s hospital in that region. The donation was made via the non-profit Rozana and its American arm, Rozana USA. According to the organization, the donation is the largest private donation that Rozana USA has ever received. The donation also comes in the wake of increased global concerns over healthcare services in the West Bank in the midst of increased attacks from Israeli settlers. Médecins Sans Frontières said that “Palestinians are struggling to access basic healthcare due to restrictions, insecurity, and systematic violence,” in Hebron and other places in the West Bank. “This contribution will ultimately provide much-needed, improved care for Palestinian children while leveraging the field of healthcare to build constructive, trusting relations between Israeli and Palestinian medical professionals, bridging the divide,” the Emanuel brothers said in statement that was shared with Rozana. Ari Emanuel is the billionaire executive chairman of WME Group, as well as CEO and executive chairman of TKO Group Holdings, which owns UFC and WWE. Zeke Emanuel is an oncologist and bioethicist and was a key advisor to the Obama administration on health policy. Rahm Emanuel was Obama’s White House chief of staff, the former U.S. ambassador to Japan, mayor of Chicago and a presumed 2028 Democratic presidential candidate.
