XXXXX, which follows the Kick series that ran from 2020 to 2021, arrives next Friday, July 31, via XL. While no new music accompanies the album announcement, a livestream directed by Daniel Sannwald has been lined up for this Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Eastern. Catch that on Twitch or YouTube.Dubbed the Diva.Experimental transmission, the livestream will air from Barcelona, across seven locations, where Arca will perform unreleased songs from the 16-track album. The stream found a benefactor in the dating app Feeld. Arca said in a press release, “With Feeld’s support and investment, we’re able to put on a show for you with full glam and budget. Thank you for supporting experimental art. Please tune in. We’re working really hard to create a great show for you, wherever you are.”Despite the slowdown in solo output, Arca has juggled a handful of projects in the past year, including a pair of singles and videos—“Puta” and “Sola”—and contributions to Madonna’s Confessions II. She has also worked with Addison Rae, Hikaru Utada, Tokischa, and others.
