Appala Naidu on Saturday (September 5, 2026) inspected the Aero Express bus services operating from Old Gajuwaka to Bhogapuram International Airport.Reviewing the fleet operations, he stressed that 10 buses currently run from Old Gajuwaka via NAD and Maddilapalem Highway to the international airport, while another 10 services operate via Scindia, the Railway Station, RTC Complex, and RK Beach.Highlighting passenger convenience, Mr. Naidu stated that these journeys take approximately two hours and adhere to scheduled timings. Commuters can track the buses in real-time by downloading the APSRTC mobile application from the Google Play Store, or check schedules directly via Google.Emphasising the positive public response, he reported that the occupancy ratio has surged by up to 40% daily and urged air passengers to make the most of the dedicated facility.Additionally, the Regional Manager announced that APSRTC has an urgent requirement for on-call drivers across Visakhapatnam district. Candidates possessing a heavy driving license with a minimum of two years of experience are encouraged to contact their nearest depot managers for employment opportunities.The inspection programme was attended by Deputy Mechanical Engineer A. Gangadhar, Gajuwaka Depot Manager Malleswara Rao, GreenCell Managing Director Vijay Kumar, GreenCell Director Srihari, and other engineering staff and personnel.
