Apple upgrading recent Mac mini orders to M6, M5 Pro models for free

Apple launched a new Mac mini yesterday with M6 and M5 Pro chips, and reports online show that recent, backordered M4 purchases are being upgraded for free to the new model. The Mac mini has been backordered in several configurations for a while. As a result, users who purchased an M4 model but were still awaiting delivery might have been disappointed by the announcement of a new model. But Apple has good news: it’s upgrading those M4 orders to M6 or M5 Pro models instead. Had a Mac mini on backorder from Apple with an October 26 delivery date.
