Want a new- gen iPhone, but the latest iPhone 18 Pro series and the newest foldable iPhone Duo are way out of your budget? Well, you may not have to wait too long for more options. Apple is not done refreshing its next-generation iPhone lineup just yet. While its flagship models are already here, we are now hearing whispers of the launch of the standard iPhone 18, the second-generation iPhone Air and the more affordable iPhone 18e.According to reports, Apple could have three new iPhones ready for early 2027. The company is expected to launch the standard iPhone 18, iPhone 18e and iPhone Air 2 in the first few months of next year, possibly between February- April. Apple has reportedly decided to split its launch cycle to give its flagship models the spotlight first before moving on to its more affordable offerings. However, do note that Apple has not confirmed the launch schedule, pricing or specifications of the upcoming phones. So, what new iPhones are coming? Here is what the rumour mill has to say. iPhone 18 expected launch timeline and specificationsA tipster on Weibo claims that production of the standard iPhone 18 could begin towards the end of November 2026, with Apple reportedly preparing a relatively large inventory for its spring launch. This comes after an earlier claim suggested that Apple could reduce production of the standard model while prioritising the iPhone 18 Pro Max and foldable iPhone Duo.As for specifications, the iPhone 18 is tipped to feature a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, similar to the iPhone 17. It could also get a brighter screen and a smaller Dynamic Island. The rear design could see some changes as well. A dummy unit shared by tipster Majin Bu shows two vertically aligned cameras inside a horizontal camera bar. The phone could arrive in silver, pink, dark blue and burgundy colour options, although these remain unconfirmed.Under the hood, Apple is expected to equip the iPhone 18 with its A20 chipset, reportedly built using a 2-nanometre manufacturing process. The chip could integrate the RAM with the CPU, GPU and Neural Engine on the same wafer, potentially improving performance and power efficiency. The phone is also tipped to feature Apple's C2 modem and run iOS 27.When it comes to memory, reports are conflicting. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has suggested 9GB of RAM for the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e, while Jeff Pu has pointed to 12GB for the standard model. Another leak mentions six-channel memory using 1.5GB per die. The final configuration remains uncertain. For cameras, the iPhone 18 could retain a dual rear camera setup with 48-megapixel main and ultra-wide sensors. Reports differ on the front camera, with some suggesting an 18-megapixel sensor and others pointing to 24 megapixels. Apple could also simplify the Camera Control button by removing its capacitive sensing capability.iPhone 18e and iPhone Air 2: What to expectAlongside the standard iPhone 18, Apple is also expected to introduce the iPhone 18e as a more affordable option. The phone could retain its familiar design and a 6.1-inch display, with much of its hardware matching the standard iPhone 18, albeit with a few downgrades to keep the price in check.Meanwhile, the iPhone Air 2 could retain a 6.5-inch display and titanium design while gaining an A20 Pro chip, 12GB of RAM, improved battery life and a second 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera. iPhone 18, iPhone 18e and iPhone Air 2 expected India priceAs for pricing in India, Apple has already made the iPhone 17, iPhone 17e and iPhone Air more expensive this year. With that in mind, their successors could also come with higher launch prices, although it remains to be seen how much more buyers will have to pay.The standard iPhone 18 could start at around Rs 99,900, while the iPhone 18e is expected to start at around Rs 79,900, matching the price of the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17e’s updated price. The iPhone Air 2 would sit between the standard and Pro models, and could arrive with a starting price of around Rs 1,49,000.- Ends
