Apple is offering Rs 12,000 discount on MacBook Air M5 for a limited time period

Apple is offering a flat Rs 12,000 discount on the MacBook Air M5 through its Education savings program for a limited time. The offer is available under Apple's Education savings programme and is being offered for a limited period. The MacBook Air M5 normally starts at Rs 1,49,900 in India. However, Apple's Education store is currently listing the laptop at Rs 1,37,900, bringing the price down by a flat Rs 12,000. The discount is available on Apple's website and is not tied to a separate Independence Day sale.To find the deal, head to Apple's India website and look for the Education savings section. From there, select the MacBook Air and the discounted pricing will be displayed for eligible buyers. There is, however, an important catch. Apple's Education pricing is not available to everyone. The program is aimed at students attending or accepted into a college or university, parents purchasing on their behalf, as well as eligible faculty, staff and homeschool teachers.Apple may require eligibility verification, which can be completed online through UNiDAYS or by presenting an appropriate ID at an Apple Store. For buyers who do not qualify for the Education offer, Apple also has regular bank-based discounts. The 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air M5 models are currently eligible for up to Rs 9,000 cashback with selected American Express, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards. With the Rs 9,000 benefit, the effective price of the MacBook Air M5 comes down to Rs 1,40,900.Flipkart deal makes MacBook Air M5 even cheaperIf you are not eligible for Apple's Education pricing, there is another option worth considering. Flipkart is currently running its Independence Day Sale, where the base MacBook Air M5 with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is listed for Rs 1,40,990, compared with its official price of Rs 1,49,900. That is already a discount of Rs 8,910. Buyers using an eligible SBI Bank card can get another Rs 10,000 off, potentially bringing the effective price down to Rs 1,30,990. That means the total saving can reach Rs 18,910, making the Flipkart offer considerably more aggressive than Apple's own discount for buyers who qualify for the bank offer.Apple's website also has bank discounts of up to Rs 5,000 on select purchases, but the overall saving is still lower than what Flipkart is currently offering on the base MacBook Air M5.Other Apple products are also discounted The MacBook Air is not the only Apple product seeing discounts at the moment. Apple's India website is also offering savings on selected iPhones and iPads, while online retailers have additional deals during their Independence Day sales. For instance, Flipkart is offering a flat Rs 8,000 discount on the iPhone 17 Pro Max, reducing its price from Rs 1,49,900 to Rs 1,41,900. Eligible SBI card users can get an additional Rs 4,000 discount, while Flipkart Axis Bank and SBI Bank credit card offers can provide a further discount of Rs 8,000 depending on the applicable promotion. So, with the Rs 8,000 bank offer and Rs 8,000 flat discount offer, you are getting a total discount of Rs 16,000.
