Apple event is reportedly happening next week, per Mark Gurman

Apple is expected to launch several new products next week on October 13, and per Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the product unveilings will happen at “an event.” Here’s what he said. Apple will unveil three new products at October 13 event, says Gurman We’re nearly a month out from the last Apple event, which featured the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone Duo, and more. But it sounds like an October event could be on the way as early as next Tuesday, October 13. Per Mark Gurman, writing in his Power On newsletter: Apple is planning to hold an event on Oct. 13 to unveil its long-awaited smart home hub with a screen, the new HomePod mini and an updated Apple TV. All three devices will have Siri AI at the core. Gurman previously reported that these three products would be launching October 13, but at the time he made no mention of an event. There’s been plenty of speculation about whether these new Home products would merit an event or not. John Gruber, for example, said there was “No way” that the rumored HomePad would be released via a press release only. He wrote, “if this is coming, it has to be unveiled with a keynote video and some sort of media event with hands-on demos.” And based on his latest newsletter, Gurman clearly believes that’s what’s happening. “Apple is planning to hold an event on Oct. 13” sounds pretty straightforward. If an event does happen, we would expect to see press invites go out in the next day or so. Unless, of course, new CEO John Ternus plans to shake up the way does product introductions and bucks prior patterns.
