Its revenue reached $16.29 billion in the first six months of 2026, compared with $1.16 billion in the same period last year. But rapid growth also brings a costly challenge that Anthropic needs enormous computing power to develop and run its AI systems, while balancing commercial ambitions with its stated commitment to AI safety.
