Anthropic Has Been Interviewing Its Models Before Retiring Them

The dates this month and next: This week, on May 15, Claude Sonnet 4.5 disappears from the claude.ai model selector. The API version stays alive for now, listed as active until at least late September. Then on June 15, the older Claude Sonnet 4 and Opus 4 retire from the Claude API entirely.
