| Deputy Soaps Editor Published October 6, 2026 9:41am Updated October 6, 2026 9:41am The big twists just keep on coming! (Picture: BBC / Metro) EastEnders spoilers follow for Tuesday’s (October 6) episode, which can now be streamed on BBC iPlayer. The episode in question will air at 7:30pm. Jaws were dropped all across the nation on Monday (October 5) after Lee Carter (Danny Hatchard) confirmed that the baby Nancy (Maddy Hill) is carrying is none other than his. The revelation stunned mum Linda (Kellie Bright), who has long wanted to become a grandmother, as she struggled to get her head around the big bombshell. Linda wasn’t the only one, with EastEnders fans worried that an incest storyline was on the cards following the revelation, but the latest offering of the BBC One soap has cleared things up. Nancy is a surrogate for brother Lee and his partner Jess, who suffered a number of miscarriages while trying for a baby. Linda attempted to process the news that her daughter was carrying her son’s baby and was devastated that they’d excluded her from any such discussions. Lee, meanwhile, explained why he and Nance were seeking legal advice from Johnny (Charlie Suff), revealing that Jess has walked out on him and blocked him on all social media platforms. As a result, Lee and Nancy were keen to know where they stood legally with the baby. Johnny revealed that, if Nancy doesn’t give up her parental rights, then technically Jess need not know when the child is born. Linda, meanwhile, decided to come clean about her relationship with Max Branning (Jake Wood) in a bid to showcase her desire for her loved ones to be honest with one another, hoping to lead by example. Even after the surrogacy, another big shock followed Picture: BBC) Ask Metro Use AI to go deeper into the stories you care about – powered by Metro and trusted publications. The news left Lee and Nancy upset given that Linda’s previous affair with Max essentially destroyed their mum and dad’s happy marriage but ultimately they relented, determined to start afresh. Lee, however, is keeping a big secret, with subsequent scenes seeing him receive a call from Jess, who he told to stay away, reiterating that he wants her to have nothing to do with the baby. The question is: will Jess do as Lee demands? Or will she arrive in Walford wanting to be a part of her baby’s life? And what’s more, what exactly happened between Lee and Jess? The version of events he told to Linda evidently isn’t the whole picture if she’s making contact, so it’s likely that there is more going on here than meets the eye!
