Anneka Rice, 68, reveals she has become a grandmother again twice in 10 weeks and says her grandchildren are her 'reason for life'

'My birthday presents this year came 10 weeks apart. I'd just unwrapped the first one when another package arrived!''Now I don't know where to turn …' a beaming Anneka captioned the sweet post.Anneka is a mother of three sons, Thomas, 37, and Joshua, 36, from her marriage to theatre producer Nick Allott and Sam, 26, from her relationship with TV executive Tom Gutteridge.Ten weeks ago she revealed her third grandchild had arrived as she shared a photo of herself surrounded by her two toddler grandkids whilst holding the newborn. But I think of myself as a granny above all.''That's my absolute reason for life, and I hope I am a friend to many and a mentor too,' she explained.Anneka stepped away from the spotlight in the mid-nineties after over a decade as one of TV's biggest stars, fronting her hit shows Treasure Hunt and Challenge Anneka.She decided to focus on motherhood to her two eldest sons after going through divorce negotiations from their father Nick in 1995, whom she would eventually officially divorce in 2014. The light bulb moment came when she received a letter from her ex-husband's lawyer mid negotiations that implied she was a bad mother for working. Whilst she now admits it was a misunderstanding and attributes the wording to legal 'banter', the letter pushed her to make a drastic decision. 'It wasn't that my children would be taken from me, because obviously I was their carer.
