Anne with her daughter Emma in 2008Getty ImagesThe veteran broadcaster, who has give up driving due to her worsening eyesight, said her daughter will teach her how to use the Tube.She added that she’s excited to be able to walk to lunch with friends instead of relying on others to drive her.Alongside her 18th-century Cotswolds barn, Robinson owns properties on Fifth Avenue in New York, as well as in the Hamptons.She bought her Cotswolds home, then a dilapidated farm, for £1 million from a farmer in 2006 - two years after she had a £9,000 facelift. The presenter spent two years renovating it and is now selling it for £4.5 million.Robinson on CountdownChannel 4“I’ve given it all away – I don’t want the taxman to have it,” she told Saga in 2024. “I’ve spread it about quite a lot, to the children. They may as well enjoy it now.”The broadcaster admitted she has “genuinely no idea” if she is worth £50million but insisted she doesn't “want for much” and “can't think there's anything I really want except my good health and the family happiness”. Inheritance tax is levied at 40 per cent on an individual's estate exceeding £325,000 in value, although there are exemptions. The UK’s “seven-year rule” states that if a beneficiary receives an inheritance gift less than seven years before the bestower’s death, they still pay inheritance tax.Robinson welcomed her daughter Emma with her ex-husband Charles Wilson. She was married to the former journalist and newspaper executive until their divorce in 1973. She divorced her second husband, John Penrose, in 2007.
