Li took advantage of nine double faults from Osorio to convert half of her 12 break-point opportunities. Osorio, a 2022 finalist in Monterrey, won just four of her 22 second-serve points. Seventh-seeded Janice Tjen of Indonesia survived a tough challenge from Ukraine's Dayana Yastremska 2-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5). Yastremska led 4-1 in the final set but couldn't hold on. Alycia Parks rallied for a 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 win over Croatia's Petra Marcinko, and Denmark's Clara Tauson wore down Mexico's Renata Zarazua 3-6, 6-3, 6-0.
