Android Auto update might fix cellular signal icon – is it back for you?

For months now, there have been reports of Android Auto’s status bar having a broken icon for cellular signal, but the latest updates seem to finally put an end to the debacle. The bottom/side bar on Android Auto shows your apps, the time, and your phone’s current battery and cellular signal status through icons. But, for around 4-5 months now, there have been reports of users seeing the cellular signal icon go missing at random, only to come back just as randomly for some. A number of users on Reddit all report that the latest update has suddenly fixed the cellular signal icon on Android Auto.
