FOR someone who loves nothing more than a good fight – 86 bouts, 76 wins dontchaknow – professional knucklehead Andrew Tate is proving to be one hell of a chicken. How else to describe a man — the “Top G”, no less — who won’t go to court to defend himself against what he calls “slander”. Andrew Tate’s ‘get me to trial’ demands smell like bulls**t after slew of new rape charges Credit: AFP Andrew’s brother, Tristan, faces 17 charges that also include rape and sex trafficking Credit: AFP To recap on that “slander”: Tate has now been charged with 42 offences in the UK including multiple counts of rape, as well as charges relating to sex trafficking and possessing indecent images of a child and extreme porn. New allegations revealed this week include that he choked a woman — a webcam model — to the point that she lost consciousness and then he raped her. Meanwhile his brother, Tristan, faces 17 charges that also include rape and sex trafficking. One woman alleges that while she was in a relationship with Tristan during 2012 and 2013, she was repeatedly raped, choked until she passed out and hit with a belt, causing “serious bruising and welts”. Following an investigation by Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire police, which resulted in 38 new charges to add to the 21 the dual US-UK citizens already face, the pair were arrested in Miami on Saturday and are currently in custody fighting their extradition. They insist they are innocent of the charges, which their excitable lawyer, Joseph D McBride, claims are a “stitch-up job” and a “witch hunt”. No surprise there — manosphere moron Tate has been saying as much for years, bellowing into any microphone he can find that “the Matrix” is out to get him. Well, if he really believes that then surely he should want to do something about it, to prove his innocence? If it was me facing such serious accusations, I’d want to get to court as fast as humanly possible to clear my good name and restore my unblemished reputation. Not spend years on the run from the authorities, which is effectively what this pair of itinerant imbeciles have been doing, having already scarpered from Romania, where they face other charges of rape, human trafficking and money laundering. And surely any court case would be a doddle for double ’ard Andy, who describes himself with maximum pretension online thus: “Unmatched perspicacity coupled with sheer indefatigability makes me a feared opponent in any realm of human endeavour.” Yet at present this indefatigability doesn’t extend to putting on one of his famously sharp suits and returning to Britain to roundhouse all this “law fare”, as he calls it, into the bin. New allegations revealed this week include that Andrew Tate choked a woman — a webcam model — to the point that she lost consciousness and then he raped her Credit: AFP To prove his innocence, all Andrew Tate had to do is jump in one of the private jets he is forever luxuriating in on social media and set a course for Heathrow Credit: AFP Instead, he hides away abroad, prowling around half-naked in some horrid mansion, sucking on enormous phallic-shaped cigars and hysterically shouting about his innocence to his 10.8million impressionable followers. He — or someone acting on his behalf — was at it again this week, hours after he and Tristan were arrested. On his X account, a video from March last year was reposted (then deleted) with a comment laughably comparing his ordeal to that of “the greatest men in history”, like Nelson Mandela and, er, Donald Trump. But notably, the video rant also includes a bizarre admission that he WANTS to be put on trial. He froths: “I’ve been begging my lawyers. Get me to trial. I want to prove I’m innocent. I’m completely innocent from head to toe.” Right, so he DOES want to face justice. So what exactly is stopping him? Why is he “begging” his lawyers to let him do something when his entire schtick is that real men don’t let anyone push them around? Well, he’s being pushed around now: by his bulldog of a lawyer and by the Florida state justice department, who have now had the wind put in their sails after Trump said he will not interfere in the extradition process (despite some swivel-eyed Republicans insisting he should). Of course, Tate can get his wish in a heartbeat. He does not need to wait for however long it will take for him to be extradited. He does not have to “beg” his lawyer to get to trial. To prove his innocence, all he has to do is jump in one of the private jets he is forever luxuriating in on social media and set a course for Heathrow, where he will immediately be arrested on arrival. Soon enough, he would find himself facing the trial he so desperately wants. So come on, Andrew, man up! Tate’s arrest sparked this AI-generated meme for ‘inspiration’ of his outfit Credit: Supplied GOD love the internet. No sooner had Tate been nabbed than some bright spark create this meme of the “inspiration” for his ridiculous outfit. All together now: “Macho, macho maaaan…” A FINAL INSULT, CHRIS TOP annoyances during the World Cup final for most of Britain – aside from those dirty, cheating Argies – were the abysmal half-time show and the BBC’s cringe-making “please love us” advert. A double helping of bollocks that shared a common thread, one that goes some way to explaining why they were both so “crap” (© Wazza). Indeed, according to a breathless press release from Fifa, that half-time parade of piffle – sorry, “landmark moment” – was “curated” by Coldplay’s right-on frontman Chris Martin. And who was that tinkling the ivories in the Queen Vic, kicking off Romesh Ranganathan’s piss-poor update of John Cleese’s 1986, “What has the BBC ever given us?”? You guessed it – Chris bloody Martin. Meanwhile, the cash-strapped Beeb have revealed Ranganathan was paid to do this vomit-fest because of the “significant time commitment”. How much is unclear, but we can assume it wasn’t minimum wage. You would have thought he could have found it in his heart to do Auntie a favour. After all, the reason his time is at such a premium is, as even the promo mischievously pointed out, he spends most of it earning big bucks fronting shows for . . . the BBC. Kevin will always be king . . . even to the kids Kevin Keegan playing for England in 1980 Credit: Getty – Contributor THERE are few footballers that cut across the generations, but Kevin Keegan was one of them. Growing up in the 70s and 80s – and not far from Doncaster – he loomed large for me and my footie-obsessed pals. With his South Yorkshire brogue, he sounded like us and had a job we all dreamed of doing. Four decades on, I found myself having a conversation with my teenage son about him after news of his death was announced on Monday. We’d never talked about him before, to my knowledge. But somehow he understood what a legend he was, even pointing out that Keegan had won TWO Ballon d’Ors – not the one I thought he’d got. “C’mon, Dad, everyone knows that,” he scolded me. King Kev still rules OK. OH MY WORD, NICKY I FEEL a bit sorry for Nicky Campbell, forced to apologise after telling a story about someone else saying the word “poofter”. I mean, how else are you supposed to say it without actually saying it? Should he have mouthed it theatrically but silently, like when your great aunt describes a “lez-bee-yun”? Was he supposed to infer it and invite people to guess? “No, not that one…no, not that one…” until someone eventually got it? Or are we just banning words we don’t like now no matter what context they are used in? Worrying, if so. Because let’s face it, I bet those delicate souls who claimed they took offence don’t actually care. It’s just another excuse to have a pop at a 65-year-old straight white bloke – a demographic who, in their woke wonderland, can do no right. DAY three in the job and it emerges Andy Burnham is not planning to increase the income tax-free allowance after all. So the one thing he claimed everyone was asking for when he was on the campaign trail is the one thing he won’t do. What a slap in the face for all the hardworking folk of Makerfield who put him into power. Thanks for your vote, now get stuffed. LOTS of chat about whether Andy Burnham will have a northern equivalent of Larry the cat, Downing Street’s Official Mouser, when he opens his much-vaunted “No 10 Of The North”. Well, if he does find room for some feline assistance, it’s obvious what he should call him – Lowry.
