It's been a busy year for Andrew Garfield's movie slate after only releasing a few film roles since 2021, with 2026 already seeing the Amazing Spider-Man actor premiere a fantasy adaptation and an historical action drama before his Sam Altman biopic Artifical debuts this December. Before the acclaimed film releases wide, however, Garfield has another accessible movie release to prepare for in just two weeks. Nearly two months after its theatrical premiere in the United States on September 10, the Andrew Garfield-led movie The Uprising will officially make its streaming debut exclusively on Peacock on November 6, 2026. The Uprising's subscription streaming service launch follows close on the heels of its digital PVOD release on September 29, and just shortly after its impending Blu-ray and DVD release date on November 3. Distributed by Focus Features in the United States, The Uprising is based on the true story of the 1381 Peasants' Revolt in England, with Garfield starring as "a humble farmer who dares to defy the monarchy amid war and disease." Alongside Garfield as The Ploughman, The Uprising's cast includes Jamie Bell as John Ball, Stephen Dillane as Simon Sudbury, Tom Hollander as Sir Robert Hales, Shogun's Cosmo Jarvis as Wat Tyler, Thomasin McKenzie as Alyce, and Johnny Lee Miller as William Walworth, among others in the stacked ensemble.
