Andreescu, fellow Canadian Draxl lose in final round of U.S. Open qualifying

Bianca Andreescu and Liam Draxl both fell short in the final round of U.S. Open qualifying, meaning no Canadians will make it into the singles draws this year. Andreescu, a former U.S. Open champion, and Draxl both put up strong performances but ultimately couldn't secure their spots. This outcome is particularly disappointing given Andreescu's past successes and the recent uptick in Canadian tennis talent, highlighting a challenging season for the country's hopefuls.
