Andhra woman gets trapped after lift suddenly moves, dies; horror caught on CCTV

A woman, identified as 50-year-old Vineetha, died after she got trapped while stepping outside a lift in Andhra Pradesh's Prakasam district. The horrific accident took place at a residential building in Ongole.The incident was captured on CCTV. Vineetha was riding the elevator along with a younger woman and a child when the accident occurred. While the two other occupants managed to exit the lift safely, it suddenly began moving downward as Vineetha was stepping out.She was subsequently trapped between the roof of the elevator and the landing. The woman with the child, along with other residents, frantically rushed to help her. Despite initially struggling to rescue her, Vineetha was eventually pulled out.She was rushed to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. Police are investigating whether a technical fault, inadequate maintenance, or other negligence led to the accident. The incident has caused concern among the residents of the apartment building.
