Andhra Pradesh: Government agreed to extra surrender leave for police, higher pensions, says APNGOs’ Venu Gopal

File | Photo Credit: Special Arrangement Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers Association (APNGOs) State vice-president Rayi Venu Gopal on Sunday (September 6, 2026) said the appointment of the 12th Pay Revision Commission (PRC) would benefit lakhs of employees, as it would recommend salaries and resolve other grievances of the staff within a stipulated time.In a press release, he thanked Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for the appointment of the new PRC and the release of two pending dearness allowance (DA) instalments at the request of the association.According to him, the APNGOs Association has convinced the government to sanction additional surrender leaves for staff of the police department and enhance the quantum of pension for retired employees. The association has requested the government to pay notional increments for the staff of ward and village secretariats. It has also suggested the extension of welfare schemes for outsourcing staff.“The government has agreed to release funds regularly for NTR Vaidya Seva Trust to enable employees to avail health scheme without any interruptions and delays. It will ensure cashless treatment facility in all major hospitals of the State,” said Mr. Venu Gopal. In another press note, APNGOs Srikakulam District President Hanumanthu Sairam and other leaders hailed the government’s acceptance of the long-pending demands.
