Anantapur SP calls for cleanliness, efficiency at local police stations

Jagadeesh conducted surprise inspections at Rapthadu, Itukalapalli and Bukkarayasamudram police stations on Wednesday, reviewing their functioning, records and facilities.The SP inspected visitors’ registers, station diaries, pending cases, FIR registration procedures and records. He stressed the importance of maintaining cleanliness on station premises and ensuring efficient functioning.Mr. Jagadeesh directed police personnel to accord top priority to women’s safety, particularly during night hours, and ensure prompt action on complaints. He asked the officers to create awareness about Operation Night Safety, the ‘Stree Raksha’ portal and Shakti app.Speaking to the media, the SP said that strict enforcement against drunk driving, overspeeding and riding without helmets would curb road accidents. With cybercrime on the rise, police were instructed to conduct awareness programmes at the village level on online frauds and cyber threats.He also directed the staff to treat complainants courteously and ensure speedy disposal of pending cases.
