Amy, as viewers know, was groomed by sinister detective Craig over the course of several months and the story reached a dramatic peak this past week when they hightailed it out of Walford. Trapped in a bedsit with creepy Craig, Amy began to see him for who he truly is when he resorted to violence and attacked her. Fearing for her life, she attempted to call for help but when Craig returned home early and caught her on the phone a struggle ensued, ending with Amy striking him across the head with a candlestick. Tonight’s visit to the Square confirmed that Craig is dead as Amy returned home to Walford and, after discussing whether or not one should trust the police with Sean Slater (Rob Kazinsky), she resolved to keep quiet, telling detectives that she ran away from Craig. In need of support, she turns to Sharon (Letitia Dean) and Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) and later confides in Max (Jake Wood). But their heart-to-heart is interrupted by a drunken Lee, who makes a scene in the Vic as Linda is forced to intervene.
