Amex Resy Credits Improve, Soon Redeemable At Tock Restaurants

If you have the Amex Platinum Card or Amex Gold Card (and in turn, have a Resy restaurant credit), there’s reason to be excited, as your options for getting a statement credit for dining out will soon be increasing significantly. Amex Resy credits become even more usefulThis is fantastic news for Amex cardmembersBottom line Amex Resy credits become even more usefulAmex acquired dining platform Resy back in 2019, and then acquired dining platform Tock in 2024, with the goal of merging the two together. As of this summer we’ve seen Tock merged into Resy, and that’s about to have even bigger implications for cardmembers.As of September 15, 2026, Amex’s Resy credits will expand to include select Tock restaurants. Cardmembers of course need to be sure that their card is enrolled in the Resy credit benefit, and should also ensure that the venue has the “Resy Credit eligible” badge on the venue page.The plan is that more Tock restaurants will become eligible for the Resy credit as time goes on, over the course of several months.Several weeks ago, many people were concerned when Amex updated the terms of the Resy credit benefit, stating that in the future, restaurants “must be indicated as eligible for the Resy Credit on the Resy website or the Resy app at the time of purchase to qualify for the benefit.” Many of us were concerned that only a subset of Resy restaurants would start to be eligible for this credit, but as it turns out, this change was just intended to prepare for the Tock integration into Resy. So it’s absolutely good news.The Amex Resy credit will be usable at more restaurantsThis is fantastic news for Amex cardmembersWe saw the Amex Platinum Card undergo a refresh in late 2025, and while the annual fee increased, we also saw several new perks added. The fact that the up to $400 annual Resy credit just became even more valuable makes this card even more of a no-brainer.Between the up to $400 annual Resy credit and the up to $600 annual hotel credit, the card’s annual fee is more than covered, as I see it. This was one of the rare premium card refreshes where I’d argue that the value proposition actually improved.The Amex Platinum has become more useful over timeBottom lineAs of September 15, 2026, we’ll gradually see Amex card Resy credits redeemable at Tock restaurants, given that the platform is being integrated into Resy. This increases the potential value of those credits, for those who struggle to find Resy restaurants. Kudos to Amex on this change.Will you benefit from the expanded use of Amex Resy credits?
