While some of Fox, NBC, and ABC’s TV shows have already restarted, CBS’s Fall 2026 scripted TV shows return in bulk this week in what the network refers to as CBS Premiere Week. CBS kicked off the week with the return of record-breaking crime dramas Marshals and Tracker on Sunday, October 4. Since its inception, First Marriage has ranked high among the comedies currently airing, and Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage season 2 was the second most-watched comedy after Ghosts season 5 when considering the total number of viewers (via Variety) in the 2025-2026 TV cycle. Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Returns With New Episodes Tomorrow, October 8 CBS Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage returns with season 3’s premiere this week, maintaining its usual slot on Thursday evening. The Young Sheldon spinoff will kickstart the Thursday programming, and it will be immediately followed by CBS’s new comedy Eternally Yours. Thursday night’s programming will then conclude with Elsbeth season 4 and CBS’s upcoming legal drama Cupertino. Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage season 3 premieres on Thursday, October 8 at 8 p.m. ET. The first episode of the Young Sheldon spinoff’s third installment is called “Feminine Wiles and Some Tire Thing in Lubbock,” and is directed by Mark Cendrowski, with story by Jim Reynolds and Nadiya Chettiar, and teleplay by Steve Holland and Connor Kilpatrick. The episode synopsis reads as follows: Tensions rise when Mandy and the family side against Georgie in his fight with Mary; Connor turns to Georgie when he gets himself into trouble. What To Expect From Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Season 3 Paramount Press No time passing between season 2’s finale and Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage season 3’s premiere means that we already know what two major storylines will hinge on. First Marriage season 2 ending with the revelation of Connor’s arrest, but only to the viewers, establishes that his secret will be at the center of the story in season 3’s premiere. The arrest will inevitably shape Connor’s direction in the upcoming season, especially in light of the negotiation of his identity in relation to his family that started in season 2. Similarly, the conflict between Mary and Georgie will have repercussions throughout Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage season 3, as Fagenbacher became a point of contention big enough that Georgie threatened to keep CeeCee away from Mary as a result of Mary spending time with him.
