American Football Add Buenos Aires, São Paulo to Upcoming Latin America Tour

American Football have expanded their upcoming Latin American tour with new shows in Buenos Aires and São Paulo. The additions bring American Football’s Latin American run to five stops. The band was previously confirmed to perform at Pitchfork Music Festival CDMX in Mexico City, Fauna Primavera in Santiago, Chile, and Veltrac Music Festival in Lima, Peru. They will also play at Audio Club in São Paulo on November 30th. The tour comes in support of their fourth studio album, LP4, released earlier this year. The record features guest appearances from Turnstile frontman Brendan Yates, Wisp, and Caithlin De Marrais, and incorporates elements of post-hardcore, math rock, jazz, and shoegaze into the band’s established sound. American Football first emerged with their self-titled 1999 debut, which became a touchstone of Midwest emo in the years following the band’s initial breakup in 2000. They reunited in 2014 and have since released three additional studio albums.
