American Airlines is phasing out first class seats on transcontinental routes soon

NewsAmerican Airlines is phasing out its Flagship First seats on its transcontinental routes, and starting in November they will no longer be available for purchase.APBy Katherine Rodriguez | NJ.comAmerican Airlines is sunsetting its sales of first class seating on select routes starting this November.According to a press release from the airline, American Airlines said that it is phasing out its Boeing 777-300ER first class and Airbus A321T first class for reconfigured business class seats.While this is the end of first class offerings for most of American Airlines’ long-haul routes, the airline is boosting its flight offerings with creature comforts such as Flagship Dining for business class passengers.As soon as American Airlines stops selling these first class seats, it will treat the first-class cabins on remaining aircraft as part of business class.
