Based in Canterbury, New Zealand Oneworld carrier American Airlines has announced plans to open its first-ever Flagship check-in experience at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), as the airline goes 'all in' with its largest Admirals Club and other exclusive personalized experiences. The new Admirals Club will open in Terminal C and showcase the latest enhancements to the lounge experience. American is already the largest carrier at Dallas/Fort Worth, and dominates the Texas hub. DFW is the airline's busiest airport in its network, and it is now promising to enhance the premium customer experience with two new lounge spaces and an exclusive Flagship check-in experience. The Terminal C space will be 37,000 square feet in size and located near the Terminal C Skylink station. The space will be the largest in the airline's network and provide a calm space for customers to recharge before their next flight. Various seating options with dedicated areas for work, meals, or relaxation will provide a modern home away from home for those in transit, while premium amenities will further enhance the overall customer experience. Chef-inspired food offerings, expanded food selections, and additional charcuterie will make it easy for those in a hurry, or with plenty of time to soak up all the lounge has to offer. Premium beverage offerings will also be on offer, including specialty cocktails, local favorites, spirits, wines, and Lavazza coffee, allowing guests to quench their thirst. This further investment shows the airline's commitment to an improved lounge experience, with convenient locations, modern designs, and customer comfort as a top priority to ensure AA remains the airline of choice at DFW. This space will feature a private check-in area, with individual assistance from airline team members with convenient access from the curb, all the way to the aircraft gate. Once you have successfully checked in, passengers will be able to reach security screening conveniently, and this adds a more tailored, streamlined start to the journey for these customers. This experience will build on the premium service offerings that are located at other Flagship check-in locations. American’s Chief Customer Officer Heather Garboden explains: "We're investing in every stage of the premium travel journey at DFW, beginning the moment customers arrive at the airport. Our Flagship® check-in experience offers a more tailored and streamlined start to the journey, bringing together dedicated service, premium amenities and greater convenience for our most loyal and premium customers." Further Enhancements Destined For Dallas/Fort Worth Credit: American Airlines In addition to the new lounge offering and Flagship check-in service, American will continue to invest in its largest hub in the global network. More customers pass through Dallas/Fort Worth daily than any other airport in the AA system, and it operates 930 daily flights in peak times, with 30% of passengers connecting onto another flight. Bureau of Transportation Statistics detailed below: Airline Ranking Airline % Market Share 1st American Airlines 66.49% 2nd Envoy Air (American Airlines) 10.9% 3rd Frontier Airlines 4.38% 4th Delta Air Lines 3.61% 5th SkyWest Airlines (Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines) 3.61% As part of the airline's continued investment, AA will also open a Provisions by Admirals Club lounge in Terminal F, which provides a quick and convenient grab-and-go option in the terminal. This lounge features a range of fresh food and beverages, with travel essentials in a quick and easy location. This is the first phase of the new offering for Terminal F, as the airline continues to develop more spaces in this terminal. American looks to elevate every step of the journey at DFW, including several new route announcements, new electronic boarding gates, and a 13-bank structure instead of nine clusters of coordinated arrival and departures. These changes ensure that the airport continues to evolve for premium travel, and the new Flagship check-in area, expansive new Admirals Club, and Provisions lounge make it easier than ever for loyal and high-fare-paying passengers to have a unique and elevated experience from the time they arrive at the airport until they take off.
