Amazon hikes price of almost its entire Fire TV stick range – and even cheapest model is up by £20

While the plug-and-play streaming devices have always been an affordable way to add thousands of streaming services, they are about to become a little bit more expensive. Sign up for the Tech newsletter Thank you! Some Fire TV Sticks will be subject to price rises of up to £60 once the brand’s back-to-school sale ends. The entry-level HD stick is currently down to £23.99 but will rise to £59.99 when the sale ends. Similarly, the Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen) is currently selling for £109.99 but will jump to £199.99 when the sale ends on September 3. Meanwhile, the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus, currently on sale at £59.99, will be hiked to £79.99. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max will rise from its current price of £47.99 to £99.99. A spokeswoman for Amazon said that the consumer electronics industry is “facing significant increases in memory and storage component costs.” Most read in Money “After absorbing these increases for as long as we could, we recently adjusted pricing across our product lines,” the spokeswoman told Fortune.
