JOHN’S, Newfoundland and Labrador — Altius Minerals Corporation (TSX: ALS) (OTCQX: ATUSF) (“Altius” or the “Corporation”) is pleased to announce that it has renewed its Normal Course Issuer Bid (“NCIB”) by which it may purchase at market price up to 587,482 common shares (“Shares”), being approximately 1% of the 58,748,220 common shares issued and outstanding as of August 11, 2026, through the facilities of the Toronto Stock Exchange (“TSX”) or a Canadian alternative trading system. The bid is subject to regulatory approval. The NCIB will commence August 22, 2026 and will end no later than August 21, 2027. Any Shares purchased during the NCIB will be cancelled and returned to treasury. The TSX rules permit Altius to purchase through TSX facilities a daily maximum of 65,157 Shares under the NCIB, being approximately 25% of the average daily trading volume (ADTV) of 260,629 shares in the preceding six calendar months of trading prior to the bid.Get the latest headlines, breaking news and columns.By signing up you consent to receive the above newsletter from Postmedia Network Inc.A welcome email is on its way. Please try againUnder its current NCIB, which commenced on August 22, 2025 and will terminate on August 21, 2026, Altius has purchased, as of August 17, 2026, a total of 249,800 Shares through market purchases on the TSX at a weighted average price of $42.30 per Share, while its approval allowed for it to purchase a maximum number of 1,864,265 Shares. The reason for the NCIB is that, in the opinion of the board of directors, the value of Altius, based on anticipated cash flows and underlying asset values, is from time to time greater than the market price of the Shares and accordingly the acquisition of Shares under the NCIB represents an appropriate use of funds. Altius has had an active NCIB program every year since 2010.Altius’s strategy is to create per share growth through a diversified portfolio of royalty assets that relate to long life, high margin operations. This strategy further provides shareholders with exposures that are well aligned with global growth trends including increasing electricity-based market share within energy usage, global infrastructure build and refurbishment growth, increased EAF based steelmaking, steadily increasing agricultural fertilizer requirements and the enhanced appetite for financial asset diversification through precious metals ownership. These macro-trends each hold the potential to cause higher demand for many of Altius’s commodity exposures including potash, high purity iron ore, electricity, base metals, and gold. In addition, Altius runs a successful Project Generation business that originates mineral projects for sale to developers in exchange for royalties and that has a demonstrated track record of driving outsized direct returns from its overall royalty investment portfolio. Altius has 58,748,220 common shares issued and outstanding that are listed on Canada’s Toronto Stock Exchange. It is a member of the S&P/TSX Composite and S&P/TSX Global Mining Indices and the S&P/TSX Canadian Dividend Aristocrats Index.View source version on businesswire.com: For further information, please contact: Flora Wood Email: Fwood@altiusminerals.com Tel: 1.877.576.2209 Direct: 1.416.346.9020This advertisement has not loaded yet.Notice for the Postmedia NetworkThis website uses cookies to personalize your content (including ads), and allows us to analyze our traffic.
