Allu Arjun deletes Tricolour pic without Ashoka Chakra, Internet rips him apart

Actor Allu Arjun faced backlash on Independence Day after sharing a patriotic post that appeared to show the Indian national flag without the Ashoka Chakra. The artwork also featured his name and logo over an illustration of the Red Fort, prompting criticism on X over the presentation of the national symbols. The actor later deleted the post, but screenshots of it continued to circulate online.The post featured the words "HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY" alongside the Tricolour and an illustration of the Red Fort. Soon after it was shared, users pointed out that the flag in the artwork appeared to be missing the navy blue Ashoka Chakra at its centre.One user criticised the actor by writing, "Lack of knowledge." Another said, "He has no knowledge at all, National Flag should have Ashoka Chakra." Several others questioned the decision to place Allu Arjun's name and branding over the Red Fort illustration. "Why is his name on Red Fort?" one user asked. Another commented, "He does not even know what the national flag of India looks like."The criticism continued even after the post was deleted. However, some users suggested that the missing Ashoka Chakra could have been a design error by the actor's team. "We can see Ashoka chakra below happy but not on the flag. Could be a mistake. Stop making it a big thing, people do mistakes and it's the mistake of his team," one user wrote. Another echoed a similar view, attributing the issue to the design team rather than the actor himself.Allu Arjun has not publicly addressed the criticism or explained why the image was shared and later removed.Allu Arjun's Raaka updateThe controversy comes as Allu Arjun continues work on Raaka, his upcoming sci-fi action film with filmmaker Atlee. The project was earlier known as AA22xA6 before it was officially titled Raaka. Deepika Padukone plays the female lead, while Janhvi Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna are reportedly also part of the film. Raaka has already generated significant buzz following the release of Allu Arjun's first look. The actor appeared bald and in a heavily transformed, beast-like avatar in the poster. Allu Arjun and Atlee unveiled the title and first look in April 2026, making the film one of the actor's biggest projects after the Pushpa franchise.The film is currently in production. Recent reports suggested that the shoot was affected by Rashmika Mandanna's injury, with filming expected to resume around September or October.
