Alliance confident of winning all 86 Vijayawada divisions, says MP

RAO Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) expressed confidence that the TDP-JSP-BJP alliance would win all 86 divisions in the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation elections, with mayoral candidate Vangaveeti Radhakrishna securing a substantial majority.Addressing a meeting of alliance leaders, Mr. Kesineni said leaders and workers of all three parties were coordinating to ensure victory. He warned that candidates contesting as rebels against their parties’ decisions could face suspension.Highlighting the coalition government’s achievements, he said house pattas and registration documents had been distributed to 26,000 beneficiaries in Vijayawada, providing them with permanent ownership rights after nearly four decades of uncertainty.He also announced that a Detailed Project Report had been prepared for a drinking water project estimated at ₹1,800 crore. The alliance would seek around ₹1,850 crore for improving water supply and other civic infrastructure after the new municipal council was constituted.Mr. Kesineni alleged that the previous YSRCP government had left approximately ₹400 crore in pending contractor payments and said the coalition government was clearing the dues in phases.Meanwhile, mayoral candidate Vangaveeti Radhakrishna promised to work for the city’s development if elected. Other alliance leaders expressed confidence in the coalition’s victory, highlighting development, welfare and the resolution of long-standing civic issues as the main campaign priorities.
