Allegiant Air Launches 11 New Nonstop Routes From Major US Airport: See Full List Now

This is evident in its strong presence in Florida, where the Sunshine State is home to the airline's top three airports by departing flights. The carrier's growth has continued at pace of late, with 11 new routes launching between February 2026 and February 2027 at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). According to scheduling data from Cirium, an aviation analytics company, five of them took flight earlier this year, with four more set to follow later this year, plus two more in early 2027. This has seen FLL become Allegiant's fourth-busiest Florida base by flight traffic, with the facility rising to sixth overall. Their destinations were Albany, Chattanooga, Chicago Rockford, Rochester, and Trenton. Of these, the addition of the route to Chattanooga in particular is said to have been a consequence of the withdrawal of Spirit Airlines, which would later cease flying. Allegiant faces competition from Southwest and JetBlue on some of these routes, and its hyper-seasonal business model means it does not operate some of them in certain months. For instance, the Rochester flights last operated in May, and won't restart until October. Likewise, the Chattanooga and Chicago Rockford services are on hold this month. The carrier commented on its network strategy in a statement last month. "Allegiant's unique business strategy continues to reshape the US leisure travel industry. Allegiant's network of all-nonstop flights, serving communities often overlooked by other carriers, has been a key differentiator for the airline." Four will take flight next month, with their destinations being Boston, Kansas City, Omaha, and Pittsburgh . Of these, all but Omaha are said to have been added to fill the gaps left by Spirit's demise. With Florida being a popular winter sun destination, these flights will once again primarily serve seasonal demand from passengers flying in from further north. All are set to run from October to May, with the Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 as the dominant aircraft type. These jets will serve only three of the four routes, with Pittsburgh's capacity split between the 737 and the Airbus A320. Their destinations are Portsmouth and Providence, and these routes reflect the hyper-seasonal side of the carrier's operating model. As detailed below, the remainder of the top five consists of airports serving desert-based leisure destinations further to the west, namely Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) and Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA).
