As any Rockstar worker who has had their break-time cigarettes counted knows, one of the downsides to GTA 6 being the biggest game of all time is that there’s no hiding from fans desperate to know everything about it. Perhaps the best example of this is how sure everyone is that Lucia is played by Manni Perez. Ever since the first trailer for GTA 6 dropped nearly three years ago, fans have considered it all but confirmed that Perez is involved in the game, to the point where she was endlessly harassed on Instagram and deleted her account. Recently, Perez returned to the platform, where she’s now having some fun with the whole situation. Manni Perez Got 18 Million Views On Insta In 30 Days, But Totally Doesn’t Know Why Some Fans Even Think It’s A Reference To A GTA Trailer As pointed out by Redditor Pow67 on the GTA6Unmoderated subreddit, Manni Perez posted a rather interesting story on her official Instagram page yesterday. Although the post has since been taken down, it originally had Perez highlighting the 18 million views that she’s received in the last 30 days. Perez said that she “doesn’t know what that means” with a shrugging emoji, before going on to point out that one of her photos showed her with a “pimple patch and acne on full display”. While it’s nice that Perez’s posts are so real (unlike the fake account that a lot of people fell for), she’s clearly having a bit of fun with all the attention. Even if Perez isn’t actually playing Lucia like so many people think, there’s no chance in hell that she hasn’t seen all the people saying she is. It’s literally guaranteed to be the top comment on anything she posts, and has been a major topic of discussion for three years now. She’s also never spoken out about it, only fuelling the rumours even more. Considering Perez was essentially chased off Instagram by obsessive fans, it’s nice to see her turning it around a bit and having some fun. It can’t be easy starring in the most-anticipated video game of all time and not being able to even say anything about it, but at least Perez isn’t going completely dark.
