All the England holiday dates for the new school year revealed – including October half-term

THE summer holidays are almost over and many parents will be breathing a sigh of relief that the past six weeks are coming to an end. But if you are already looking forward to the next break from school – here are all the English state school holiday dates this year. When will your child’s school next break up for holiday? And for many schools that will be the October half-term, set to take place between October 26 and October 30. The week-long break often serves as a welcome holiday for many. But of course, this will depend on your specific local authority and individual school, which may take into account additional staff training days. So for exact dates, parents should double-check with their council and their children’s school. The final term date this year is believed to be December 18 until January 4, 2027, with the majority of schools opting for a two-and-a-half week break over the festive season. The start of the spring term will then last until the February half-term, expected to take place between February 15 and February 19 next year. Marking the end of the spring term will be the Easter holidays. For the majority of schools, this will begin on March 26 and end on April 12. Schools will then remain open until the summer half-term break from May 31 to June 4, 2027.
