All Emmerdale spoilers for next week as show favourite confesses to big deaths

Emmerdale goes full horror flick! (Picture: ITV/Metro) A matriarch desperately tries to hold her family together, a confession changes the lives of everyone and the most horrific revenge imaginable is taken next week in Emmerdale. It seems the last bit of humanity remaining in Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) died when Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) did, and he’s holding Caleb and Ruby Miligan (William Ash and Beth Cordingly) responsible. Out to cause as much pain and suffering as humanly possible, Joe subjects Ruby to everybody’s worst nightmare when he buries her alive and taunts Caleb with what he’s done. Can Caleb save his beloved wife from the most terrifying situation imaginable? Kim Tate (Claire King), meanwhile, is determined to hold her crumbling family together and she swears to save Joe for himself, while keeping his son a part of the clan, but are the Tates too far gone to be saved? Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) can’t bear the guilt over having caused the devastating crash that claimed the lives of Dawn and Jimmy King (Nick Miles) much longer, and despite the warnings of Kev Barton (Chris Coghill) and his love for Lewis (Bradley Riches), he confesses all to Joe and Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) – but what price will he have to pay for his role in the carnage? Elsewhere, Moira and Cain Dingle (Natalie J Robb and Jeff Hordley) bump heads over Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) and Sarah and Jacob Sugden (Katie Hill and Joe-Warren Plant) are reassured by Ross Barton (Michael Parr). Monday, September 21 Joe can’t stay at the funeral (Picture: ITV) When Joe struggles to deliver a eulogy at Dawn’s funeral, Kim steps up, vowing to hold the family together, but he walks away, crushed by grief. Later, Joe, swearing revenge for Dawn, visits a grave that he’s buried Ruby alive in. Despite Kev urging Vinny to keep the secret of his involvement with the crash and marry Lewis, Vinny can no longer bear the guilt and confesses to Nicola that he was responsible for Jimmy and Dawn’s deaths. She soon loses her strength and slips into an eerie silence as the air has seemingly run out. As Joe taunts a disorientated Caleb over what the pain he’s about to experience, Caleb’s blood runs cold as he learns how far Joe has gone. Though Caleb begs Joe for Ruby’s life Joe remains unmoved, holding them responsible for Dawn’s death. Also, Vinny continues his confession tour and tells Joe that he caused the crash, and he’s chilled to the bone by Joe’s terrifying silence. Wednesday, September 23 Kim reflects on all that’s happened (Picture: ITV) Kim visits Joe’s baby, and she’s overcome with grief as she reflects on Dawn’s life, before vowing to protect the child while holding the remnants of her family together, determined not to let Joe make any further mistakes as he deals with his loss. Caleb is out for Joe’s blood, but when Moira discovers him searching for a weapon, she tries to convince him that his war with Joe will only end in his own destruction. Elsewhere, in the Woolpack, Nicola reveals to the entire village that Vinny caused the fatal accident. Thursday, September 24 Kev worries about the truth being revealed (Picture: Mark Bruce/ITV) Kev takes in how emotionally broken Nicola is following the loss of her husband and the subsequent revelations. He’s left deeply worried about how she’ll react when she learns that he knew the truth about Vinny and lied to her. Also, Lewis struggles with what he’s learned about Vinny and what it means for their future. Friday, September 25 Nicola is shaken by Carl’s discovery (Picture: Mark Bruce/ITV) Still stunned over the truth of his dad’s accident, Carl Holliday (Charlie Joyce) tells Nicola of his plan to create a video to play at the funeral. When he tells his mum he’s found voice notes on his laptop, though, Nicola panics and takes the computer away.
