Image: Nintendo EPD/Nintendo via Polygon Bottles are one of the many items that Link carries around in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. Bottles are extremely valuable, as they allow you to store things like potions, fairies, bugs, and Lon Lon Milk. You can use your stored items at any time you wish, meaning you can drink your red potion or Lon Lon milk if you're just about to die. However, bottles can be hard to come by, as you'll need to go a bit out of your way to find them. Here's where to find every bottle in Ocarina of Time remake. All Bottle locations in Zelda Ocarina of Time In Ocarina of Time remake, you can have up to five bottles at once, which is one more than in the original game. You can find a bottle in the following locations: Hyrule Castle Town Lon Lon Ranch Kakariko Village Lake Hylia Hyrule Castle Town (Future) For more information on how to get every bottle, check out the sections below. Bottle #1 — Hyrule Castle Town Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Nintendo EPD/Nintendo via Polygon You can get the first bottle at the Potion Shop in Hyrule Castle Town. On your first visit to the shop, the Potion Shopkeeper will be panicking about a bug that escaped. They'll give you an empty bottle to catch the bug skittering around. Press R and swap to the empty bottle. Then, walk over to the bug on the floor and press ZR to scoop it up. As a reward, he'll give you a red potion. If you drink the potion, it'll just turn into an empty bottle, which you can use to store other things like another bug. Bottle #2 — Lon Lon Ranch Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Nintendo EPD/Nintendo via Polygon After you wake up Talon outside of Hyrule Castle, he'll run back home to Lon Lon Ranch. Go to his house during the day, and you'll find him asleep on the floor. Talk to him and he'll ask if you want to play his cucco-findin' game, where you have to find three super Cuccos within 30 seconds. Before you start, look at the three Cuccos behind Talon, which are the three super Cuccos. They'll periodically lift their wings into the air and let out a cuckoo. To find the super Cuccos during the game, you'll need to quickly look around the room to find the three Cuccos that do the same action, and pick them up. The direction they go is indicative of where they are in the room. To make things easier, each super Cucco flies farther than every other Cucco, so you'll find them in their respective corners of the house. Quickly look to the southwest corner, northwest corner, and northeast corner, spot the Cucco that lifts their wings, and pick up them. Additionally, after the super Cuccos fly away, they'll always start off facing the wall. If you complete the challenge, you'll earn a bottle full of Lon Lon Milk. If you fail, you can immediately retry for five rupees, but if you leave and come back, you'll need to pay full price. For those who have played the original, you unfortunately cannot throw the Cuccos away before the game starts, so you'll need to find them the hard way. Bottle #3 — Kakariko Village Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Nintendo EPD/Nintendo via Polygon The third bottle is given to you by the Cucco Lady in Kakariko Village. After you talk to her, you'll learn that she's missing all seven of her Cuccos, and it's up to you to return them to their pen. Every Cucco can be found in Kakariko Village, but some of them are a bit trickier to retrieve. Well, except for Cucco #2 as they're trapped in a box. For Cucco #5, 6, and 7, you'll need to use another Cucco to reach them. After you return every Cucco to the pen, the Cucco Lady will give you an empty bottle. Bottle #4 — Lake Hylia Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Nintendo EPD/Nintendo via Polygon The fourth bottle is found in Lake Hylia. First, progress through the story until you unlock the Silver Scale at the Zora Domain. Then, dive into the shortcut that takes you from the Zora Domain to Lake Hylia. If you look underwater in front of you, you'll see a bottle that has a bunch of air bubbles coming out of it. Dive into the water and grab it to find Ruto's Letter, but more importantly, a bottle! Bottle #5 — Hyrule Field (Future) Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Nintendo EPD/Nintendo via Polygon The fifth bottle is the hardest to get out of all the bottles. To get this one, you'll need to hunt down five Big Poes as adult Link. Look out for the lanterns scattered around Hyrule Field and jump over them with Epona. You can find the lantern and Big Poe locations in the map above. A Big Poe will spawn, and you need to hunt them down. You can either hit them with two arrows or one Light Arrow, and they'll turn into a yellow ghost orb. Bottle them up, and take them to the Poe Collector, who has made the old guard room in Hyrule Castle Town his storefront. Sell five Big Poes to him for 30 rupees each, and he'll give you 500 points and an empty bottle. If you turn in all 10 Big Poes, they'll reward you with a gold rupee, which is worth 200 rupees!
