The highly anticipated and very mysterious upcoming chapter of the hit FX science fiction series just dropped a major filming update. This time, it offers a closer look in the form of a new video on set with a few cast members. Up until this point, Alien Earth season 2 has been shrouded in mystery as the network and its cast revealed next to nothing about the second installment. Although fans already had a pretty good idea about who was returning based on interviews and the cliffhanger finale, the new clips confirmed that Wendy (Sydney Chandler) and Morrow (Babou Ceesay) will be in season 2. The footage also reveals a model of a Xenomorph. The new preview shows Ceesay with a slate announcing that Alien: Earth season 2 is now in production. It also shows Chandler standing near the cameras on set. Additionally, the video posted on 20th Century Studios Canada's official X account reveals Prodigy Corporation's tactical soldiers armed and marching. While the storyline remains vague, Alien: Earth Season 2 is expected to pick up directly after the season 1 finale left off. The first chapter ends with Wendy and the other hybrids seemingly taking over Prodigy after they captured the antagonists of the story, Morrow, Boy Kavalier (Samuel Blenkin), Kirsh (Timothy Olyphant), and Dame Sylvia (Essie Davis). However, victory will likely be short-lived as Weyland-Yutani remain a huge threat. Creator Noah Hawley has also said that the next chapter will widen the series’ scope, describing Alien: Earth season 2 as an expansion of the show’s world. Olyphant also teased that things are going to get "weird" for his character in the new season. The upcoming installment will also introduce several new actors to the massive ensemble cast. Peter Dinklage was previously confirmed to join the series. Disney later announced that Tracey Ullman, Sam Spruell, and Jerome Flynn would be joining the show, too. The names of their characters have not yet been officially revealed at the time of this article's publication. The only information that has been confirmed is that Spruell will be one of the world leaders. There is currently no official release date for Alien: Earth season 2. However, it has been speculated that the network is aiming for a 2027 release. Release Date August 12, 2025 Network FX, Hulu Directors Dana Gonzales, Ugla Hauksdóttir, Noah Hawley Writers Bob DeLaurentis Creator(s) Noah Hawley
