ALDI has slashed prices on hundreds of products – helping families save a little more during the school holidays. The budget retailer has invested £100million to keep everyday essentials affordable. Fresh fruit and vegetables have seen some of the biggest savings, with 40p off Aldi’s 4-pack Nectarines and and 22p off Honeydew Melons – helping your kid eat a little healthier this summer. And for cheese fiends, Aldi’s Specially Selected range of Cheddar cheeses (350g) have been cut to £2.99, more than 40p off the original price. As protein continues to be a growing health trend, a number of British steaks have been salshed by 80p, while Diced Chicken Breast (600g) is now just £3.99. Lastly, Aldi’s Lacura SPF50+ Sensitive Lotion has also been reduced by 30p, meaning that you can stay protected under the summer sun – without breaking the bank. Julie Ashfield, chief commercial officer at Aldi UK, said: “It’s never been more important that everyday grocery essentials and family favourites remain affordable. “We’re committed to keeping prices low on popular products because we know it can make a real difference, helping families to make the most of the summer.” Most read in Money This is the fifth year Aldi has been named Which?
