I’m improving. I’ve got to go to hospital today for a drain on my stomach. “I keep having fluid returning which is a bit of a problem. You’re in there for five or six hours and you just read a book and get it done. “Hopefully, gradually, I’ll go less and less and it’ll disappear. If that happens, it’s just taking the pills and blood tests and I’m all right.” The radio star has hosted the Breakfast show for more than 25 years and the positive update will be welcomed by fans. Brazil added: “I’m a bit different but as every week goes by I’m feeling a little better and stronger. I do get joint pain in my knees and ankles. It’s weird. You are countering rejection in your body with a new liver, so I’ve got to take 20 pills every day probably for the rest of my life and your body has got to get used to it. “So I’m not whinging, I’m lucky to be here, I’ve just got to get on with it. Simple as that. “I’m now ready to start getting busy again and get the old brain going. My sleep is much better. “Just remember August 5, that could be the return. Put that in your diary and maybe August 7. “If they go well, I’ll maybe do three days a week again.” Comment now
