The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating a single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a Tuscumbia man Saturday morning.Douglas A. Wilkins, 31, was fatally injured around 5 a.m. on Sept. 5 when the 2005 Harley-Davidson Roadster motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and went down an embankment, according to a news release.Wilkins was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.The crash occurred on Frankfort Road near Underwood Mountain Road, approximately one mile south of Tuscumbia, in Colbert County.
