Alabama man dies after ATV strikes deer in early morning crash

By Michaela Yielding | myielding@al.comA single-vehicle crash involving an all-terrain vehicle claimed the life of a Brundidge man early Saturday morning, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Capt. Jeremy Burkett of ALEA said the incident happened at about 1:45 a.m. Saturday on Coffee County 111 near Coffee County 100, about 15 miles north of Enterprise.Joshua P. Roberts, 41, died from injuries when the 2013 Yamaha Grizzly 700 ATV he was operating struck a deer. Roberts was thrown from the ATV and pronounced dead at the scene.Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
